The Year 6 Play last night was a series of sketches and skits inspired by the plays of Shakespeare. Nearly half of the play was devised and improvised by the children themselves, with minimal input from staff. In October, the children visited Christ College Brecon to see some improvisation - so we encouraged them through improv-heavy drama lessons and plenty of confidence-building activities, to create scenes themselves. We felt it was a tremendous success - the children seemed so mature and confident on stage and showed some very high order drama skills during the invention and performance of this play. They should be very proud of themselves, as we are.
