The abbreviation has never rung more true as I scroll through sentiment after tribute after memory of the unfathomable late Robin Williams. If anything, he was right on time. Because over and above Robins truly unprecedented improvisational and scripted talents was the impact he clearly made during the 6+ decades he graced us with his presents on this planet. From those who fondly remember when he nanu-nanu-ed his way into our hearts as Mork from Ork or when we were driven to Seize the day! or when we had no doubt he was on fire every time he showed up on Johnny Carson, Robins legacy spanned so many generations during a benevolent life taken, sadly, much too soon, it really is beyond comprehension to think it has ended. For me, though, my fondest memory of Robin will always be his fittingly animated performance as Genie in Aladdin. It remains the only Disney feature I own and will forever be in my top 5 movies of all-time quite simply because only a medium as creative, colorful, spontaneous and appropriately manic as Disney animation could keep up with Robins supersonic wit. And even though the title of his very first comedy album, Reality...What a Concept, would prove to be eerily prophetic, tonight I prefer to revel in the endless joy Robin brought us when he unequivocally proclaimed: You Aint Never Had a Friend Like Me! :) (R.)obin (I.)nstilled (P.)leasure https://youtube/watch?v=R8rnMc22AG8
