The absence of empirical data on the cost of corruption to the - TopicsExpress

The absence of empirical data on the cost of corruption to the Country is responsible for why my brother Pastor Innocent will down play the grave impact of this word call corruption. Ti released their CPI 2014 report which scored Nigeria 25 % and rank her 136 out of 175. The media report indicate a poor understanding of the TI Report. The government response was also very disappointing although I will not imagine any celebration from Madam Ngozi and Dr. Bright Okogu, because both are sufficiently knowledgeable on the TI data and other available governance data which need to be reviewed together to make a conclusive picture of were we are in terms of governance and development. The situation of things are bad, we dont need to hide it. Both APC and PDP are not showing any reason for any sound mind to imagine hope. Like Innocent right said, we should be expecting in the next few weeks to see concrete policy framework from APC and PDP presidential candidates. But can you give what you dont have, certainly not. Put in other way between APC and PDP ,who is more corrupt? The obvious response will be debatable in the present situation. If there is no hope in PDP or APC who should we trust to rescue the Country? Unfortunately major key non state actors are also coloured in this corrupt ecosystem. To give you an example, the South Africa arms deal, the Pastor Joshua building collapse wahala and Pastor Chris have taken from the Christian what is left as the last hope of Nigeria. So ,the problem is not about pointing fingers, for instance do you think President Jonathan will deliberately want to embark on any action that will increase the pains on the people, certainly not. The whole all environment is poisoned. We need to radically change our approach on how to tackle the challenges of corruption. Is not about President Jonathan. Just undertake a snapshot character analysis of these who are in both political parties ,it will give you an insight to their capacity on what they will do. Even if APC win the Presidential election next year , it will not change Nigerias problem. We most start to develop the Ebola spirit which was responsible for the success we achieved and the international community refused to recognised it because of politics and lack of knowing when to stop politics particularly when it bothers on the public good of your Country. The way politicians behave in Nigeria, there is no way any body can succeed no matter how prepared and desire to make a change. When the elite knew that Ebola was capable of killing their family, you saw their response, it was collective interest. Both PDP and APC work together to stop ebola why not also use that principle to fight corruption?.Your response will be my guess. Boko Haram is purely an elite game, the West used it it advance the interest and it work, the Niger Delta used and it work, so expect the EAST next time. Carry out mapping of all the characters that were involve in militancy in Niger Delta, they are very close to politicians from the region. Also were are the OPC people? Please get me right, I dont mean they are wrong with what they did but it was just a political game. At the end of the day is the very poor that will lose. Now the situation is so bad now that we can not point to any Island of constructive and progressive group willing to grown alternative because of the rentier system. Ironically we all are victims of the corrupt society. The children of the political elite and so called rich private sector cum politicians will not have a better society to enjoy their ill gotten wealth. As we are preparing for the Presidential election, have you had anything from the 10 Richest Nigerians? The present system favours them? The Rich Pastors also are happy because the every SUNDAY contribution keep coming unlike in Europe, US and other regions. It will soon end . Every society has opportunity once awhile to make use of every available resources. Thanks, I wanted to just share this message you, after a long time. The campaign most continue. 7 mins · Like · 1
