The absolute best documentary on the Allied victory over NAZI - TopicsExpress

The absolute best documentary on the Allied victory over NAZI Germany on the European front (as well s Northern Africa). Strong footage and explanation on the role of the American and British, the Soviets, etc. Just finished watching. It was as if I were in a time machine and witnessing the biggest battles. So much information packed into this two-hour BBC production. For a brainiac like me, it doesnt get any better than this. A lot of people laugh at me, but few have read as many books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, magazines, newspapers or watched as much video footage (or listened to as much audio, including decades of AM news radio) as I have, which is why I understand so much of the world around me, past and present on military industrial complexes for scores of nations and regions of the world, plus the cultures, norms, traditions and mores; religions, political affiliations, factions, coups, alliances, geography, climate, and so many other facets of geo-political divisions, alliances, treaties, causes of war, famines, occupations, and on and on. Enough to bore most people. To me its the essence of life and humanity itself, in helping to explain the frailties of mankind and who we are as nations and as individuals. Far too many take all of this for granted, but they have no clue as to human suffering on such a large scale as occurred in Europe in WW2. But I know all too well. And I carry the burden of that knowledge as I see what is happening around the globe in places many have never even heard of. Perhaps this is why I have contempt for the empty speeches of politicians at all levels. Most people not only have no clue as to the world around them, but even of their own cities and counties.
