The absolute fury and hurt cannot be expressed by words when a daughter is punched in the face by a so called friend. Special needs children do not deserve such triturate and abusive treatment; especially, from a person who portrays a very good friend to my daughter, eaten at our dinner table, spent many nights in our home just to find this has been on going. What is even a deeper hurt; is when, the young lady blames my daughter for her actions resulting in her being expelled for one day from school. As we are finding this is not the first time the other girl has beat on my daughter; and, this is not the first time this young lady has made sport of my child in front of others. What is more interesting is instead of being angered my daughter wants to forgive and give loving leeway as if it is all a mistake. What a parental nightmare. What is learned here? I’m lost and can use some coaching or some point of perspective I seem not to be able to find myself.
