The abstract submission deadline for the 16th International - TopicsExpress

The abstract submission deadline for the 16th International Congress on Photosynthesis Research is July 1. This deadline will not be extended. After the deadline we will be choosing some of the abstracts for short oral presentations, if the presenter has indicated that they want to give an oral talk in addition to their poster. Most presentations will be posters. There will also be a exhibition area with vendors just adjacent to the poster area. To upload your abstract, find the confirmation email that you received from [email protected] when you registered. It has a link that takes you back to your registration form, where there is a custom link that takes you to the abstract submission site. The format and instructions are given there. If you did not receive a registration confirmation please contact us. We urge you to book your hotel room at the Hyatt Regency as soon as possible. The hotel website is https://macregistrations/icpr2013/hotel.cfm or can be accessed by a link at the top of the registration page. The hotel is beginning to fill up for certain nights, so book soon to ensure that you have a room. The hotel rate is $149 single and $159 double including free wifi. That rate is only available until July 20, so please book soon. Other hotel options in downtown St. Louis are significantly more expensive or not not nearly so comfortable and convenient. See hotel photos below. Check out the PS16 Facebook page at https://facebook/PS16StLouis. You can post a message if you want to find a roommate for the hotel. There are several posted already. There is also a gallery of photos of St. Louis. We have added an additional Wednesday afternoon excursion to the Missouri Botanical Garden missouribotanicalgarden.org/. Anyone who selected one of the other excursions will be able to switch to the botanical garden if they wish. That can be done when you are at your registration form, as explained above. If you make any changes be sure to click the Edit Registration button at the bottom of the page to make the change take effect. There is an excellent program for accompanying persons, including some things that kids will enjoy such as Six Flags Roller Coaster park and Meramec Caverns, a huge limestone cave. Check out the possibilities and reserve at https://macregistrations/ICPR2013/activities.cfm. Please book these soon if you plan to take part, as we need to meet minimum numbers for the excursions. St. Louis is home to outstanding entertainment opportunities, especially blues and jazz clubs and fantastic restaurants, many within easy walking distance of the congress venue. More information on the city of St. Louis can be found at explorestlouis/. St. Louis is also the home of the world-champion Cardinals baseball team, who play just a few blocks away in Busch Stadium. The team will be playing four home games during the congress, evening games on August 13 and 14 and afternoon games on August 11th and 15th. Tickets start at just $5 and can be reserved at stlouis.cardinals.mlb/.
