The abuse of women has many faces, and it continues unabated all over the world. Today in the Sunday Times, I read that Pakistani women have been temporarily banned from shopping without the accompaniment of a male. And this is to ensure men are not distracted during the holy period of Ramadan! How ludicrous is this? Are Pakistani men really and truly such dogs that they cannot control themselves, even to the extent that they need to have all temptation removed from them? If so, then I suggest they are banned from public until they are able to control themselves. Failing this I suggest that all Pakistani men immediately be forced to wear blacked out glasses with side shields and be led around by guide dogs. Everybody should be safe then.
