The achievement of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) defends on the infrastructural, institutional and structural framework of any given country, peace and stability not withstanding can’t be overlooked as it will impede a lot on development if it doesn’t exist. Millennium development Goals were conceptualized as part of a broader attempt to encourage the international community to join forces, with a commitment to making a difference in the developing world. They formed a blue-print plan agreed to by all the world’s countries and all the world’s leading development institutions agreed to meet the needs of the world’s poorest. Whether the goals have been achieved as it less than a year to the dateline is a question which is ambiguous and also begs for lots patience because a lot of impediments have been derailing the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The terrorism menace in the world is one of the worst human affliction in the recent history, it has brought a lot of instability in the world, natural calamities such as the Earth quakes bring a lot of destruction both to human life and property where reconstruction of the same takes a lot of time to rebuild, for example the Haiti Earthquake of 2010 has taken time and resources to put Haiti to its developmental path. Kenya has been suffering a lot especially in the terrorism menace. In Kenya, irrigation programmes in arid and semi arid areas aim at fighting hunger, the free primary education in the Kenyan schools is another big milestone tough its sustainability is blink. The promulgation of the Kenya’s’ New constitution in 2010 opened opportunities for women than before and so to the affirmative action. Kenya has also initiated programmes on environmental development and conservation and also protection and conservation of wildlife. In HIV/AIDS Programs Kenya has done a lot in awareness and advocacy, protection of the persons living with the scourge, provision of antiretroviral and an improved home-based care.
