The age-old question – what superpower would you choose? Flying? Invisibility? Nicolas Cage? How about the power of creation. Coding is the modern superpower. It gives you the ability to create completely original, tangible products with just your mind. And it’s not difficult to pick up with a little instruction and time. That’s where Startup Academy comes in. We will be offering a set of courses spread out over the school year semester to give you a solid foundation on the skills it takes to create a startup. Each course will be taught by a successful entrepreneur, professor or computer geek who will provide valuable insight beyond the technical skills. Our goal is for each student to graduate Startup Academy with invaluable skills and a network of collaborators from different backgrounds (not just CS majors!) that will help jumpstart new business ventures, especially in the tech world. The best part – it’s free. This program is funded by its sponsors and is entirely free to students.
