The agreement between Real Madrid and Manchester United for the signing of Di María is definitive. Los Blancos will rake in a fixed sum of €75 million plus a further €15 million in variables. Of these 15, Real consider that ten of them should be easy to reach. The Argentine player will fly to Manchester tomorrow and the official announcement should occur this Monday or Tuesday. He will earn around €8 million a season. After considering offers from Monaco and PSG, the player opted for the English club. PSG were serious contenders but in the end couldnt go through with the deal. The financial limitations of the French club made paying the Argentines salary demands a tall order. PSG are currently under the iron hand of the financial Fair Play limits imposed by UEFA. Manchester United, without such restrictions, took little time to reach an agreement with Real and take the player back to Old Trafford. Di María will in all probability wear the nº7 shirt at United – the same number that the near mythical figure of David Beckham wore years ago.
