The alabaster temples and groves of academe are replete with Statists. Simple solutions when we regain control of the levers of power: Set reimbursement and loan amounts lower, shifting emphasis to smaller, cheaper institutions; hold hearings and publicly call into question the qualifications of instructors, the worth of specific degrees and the need for expensive administration; and most importantly, remake standards for instructors to gain a huge influx of retirees from the real world, who are not indoctrinated into the subtle world of progressive correctness. These, coupled with the massive increase in real and decent jobs created by stripping regulations unneccessary to prevent/punish real fraud, safety and criminal offenses, thereby unleasing the American entrepreneurial spirit, would go far to begin to solve the problem of an education system co-opted and corrupted from within.
