The alligator in the Huber Heights, Ohio basement had been abused - TopicsExpress

The alligator in the Huber Heights, Ohio basement had been abused over an extended period of time. The owner allegedly did not know that the visitors to his home were harassing this poor animal. The alligator was in poor health from lack of vitamin D caused by being in a basement for 15 years without sunlight or proper nutrition. The alligators growth was stunted and his mouth and teeth were horribly deformed. The alligator will never be able to eat or protect himself like a healthy alligator. Special thanks to our gator heroes: Sheila Marquis (Humane Society of Dayton, Ohio), Dr. Daniel Brauer ( Dayton South Veterinary Clinic), Huber Heights Police Department, Wes Hieb, Rus Muntz, and Arrowhead Reptile Rescue. Please consider a donation to Outreach for Animals as they continue working to protect and find permanent and appropriate refuge for the captive exotic animal outcasts from Ohio. They have changed many lives at BPAS and will continue until there are no more in need, with your help.
