The annoying Bartimaeus! Blind Bartimaeus sat along the road outside Jericho when Jesus was passing. The place were crowded with all kind of people wanting to meet with Jesus. When Jesus came, Bartimaeus started to cry out; Jesus, son of David have mercy on me. People found it annoying. It was bothering them. They trethened him and asked him to be quiet as they assumed Jesus would have nothing to do with this man. I love Bartimaeus response to this. He just started to shout louder; - JESUS SON OF DAVID, HAVE MERCY ON ME! His need for Jesus was so much more overpowering than his concern that people didnt like it. Then I love Jesus response to him. He called on the man. He didnt ignore his cry. It didnt bother Jesus that Bartimaeus cried out for him. He met his need and healed him. Jesus will not look down on anybody calling on him. Dont let people shut you up when your inner being calls on Jesus. Dont let it stop you, if people get annoyed by you. Let them think whatever they want. Do like. Bartimaeus call out louder with even more passion. Know that Jesus will not let the one calling his name be ashamed. - Rose
