The annual Queen of Folly Beach/ Edisto Beach pageant was held Saturday, July 26 at Sterret Hall on the Former Naval Base. 46 children and 40 contestants of various ages were crowned to represent the Beach Communities for the upcoming years at various events and festivals throughout our state. Six of our ladies will be joining many others from across our state at the annual Miss South Carolina USA and Teen USA Pageant to be held in November at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Jr. Teen Queens Lauren Meeh and Victoria Etheridge will attend RPMs Fantasy Camp while our new Folly Queen and Teen Queen, Charlotte Pinckney and Ashley Pendergist along with the Edisto Queen and Teen Queen, Alexis Lee and Kaly Turner will compete for the State titles sending them to the MIss USA and Teen USA Pageants. Others crowned at the event were Mrs. Folly Beach Kelly Scruggs, Mrs. Edisto Beach Grace Spears-Ball and Mrs. Kiawah Island Vicki West. Winning the Ms. Division were Emilie Sears and Arlie Manuel. Congrats to all of the winners and to those winning at the childrens pageant earlier in the day.
