The annual Step Up for Soldiers chili cook-off to benefit Justin Crabbe at the High Tide Lounge yesterday was a huge success, again. We presented Justins parents with a check for $1900.00. Money Justin can use today. Volunteering for an organization like Step Up for Soldiers is very rewarding but being able to hand cash to a veteran in need, on the spot, is over the top. A great crowd, 27 great chilis and a beautiful day overlooking the ocean all made it very fulfilling for everyone. Many people worked hard to make this day happen but two brothers went above and beyond the call of duty. Bryan Keller and Rick Courtney made this a special event. Salute Bryan and Chief Courtney for a job well done.
