The apostle Paul taught the Philippian church that they needed to - TopicsExpress

The apostle Paul taught the Philippian church that they needed to work together like a team, striving together for the faith of the gospel (Phil 1:27). To illustrate, Lou Holtz started his coaching career at the University of Minnesota. During his first year there, he distributed T-shirts with the word TEAM printed on them in big block letters. Underneath, in tiny print, was the word me. Holtz understood the truth that success comes through placing the teams objectives above personal ambition. The old adage is there is no i in TEAM. So, Paul in Philippians teaches us the importance of spiritual teamwork int he local church: make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; (Phil 2:2-3).
