The archway at Kearney, Nebraska is neat and is worthwhile to go through. For those of you that have never seen it, it is a large museum about Nebraska history primarily how the Platte Valley was used to expand the country. It is built in the form of an arch across I-80 and it is impressive. It is interesting and now has gone bankrupt and now the organizers are turning to the taxpayer for help. As a taxpayer, I say NO, a thousand times NO. The archway is a private endeavor and must stand or fall on its own. I see no reason for the taxpayer to have to step it to save it.
