The argument that the Chris Hani led armed struggle had to be suspended in 1991 to allow for peaceful negotiations towards a new democratic South Africa and avoid civil war that would be deadly for SA is neither here nor there because just between 1990 and 1994 thousands of black people were being killed by the apartheid National Party government dying like flies. A classic case of two boys fighting, you want to seperate them but only hold one boy while the other continue to throw punches! Black life has always been cheap. Non-existance of armed struggle changed nothing as we were made to believe. Just recently 34 black people were mass murdered in Marikana!
