The art of professional competitive gaming does not necessarily lay within an individuals knowledge about the game by itself, or the ability to perform hundreds of actions per minute on a computer keyboard. The art of professional gaming includes the ability to participate in thought processes that involve meta-cognition. This term is more simply described as knowing about knowing. The individual must be able to know what their opponent is thinking, and possibly know what their opponent is thinking about them and use this to their advantage. For with experience, and an understanding of how to deal with failure in a constructive way, this provides the greatest wisdom that is also found in other aspects of life.Eventually, the perception of the individual will be able to develop into not just seeing a game on a screen, but potential hypothetical mathematical situations that may or may never happen.
