The article, quoting an anonymous source from Ukrainian military, says that Russians are tapping/intercepting all phone conversations of Ukrainian military in Eastern Ukraine. The curious observation is that Russians seems to have trouble understanding the conversations made in Ukrainian, especially when regional dialects are used. The common legend of Russian media has always been that Ukrainian language doesnt exist. And now Russian military are falling pray to this belief, because they do not understand the language, which according to them doesnt exist and is just a variation of a Russian language. It is true, that regional dialects of Ukrainian language can be quite diverse and unique. In some cases it is difficult/impossible to understand them even for a Ukrainian native speaker. I remember my own experience of asking for directions and trying to buy milk from a villager in Carpathian mountains. It took me a good 20-30 minutes, and in the end I had to use sign language, verbal communication was completely useless.
