The assurance that all will be well with you in the coming year The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalms 23:1KJV) Everybody has wants. Almost everybody is in the “want” mode. But this chapter starts with an emphatic statement, I shall not want because the Lord is my shepherd! I know I am human, I know I live in the flesh, but there is an added advantage over your life and destiny that separates you from the common man, and that is the fact that the Lord is your shepherd! It makes all the difference! In the literal Hebrew, these are the meanings: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not fail. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall be lessened. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be abated. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall be bereaved! The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not decrease The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be made lower. In 2015, I will not be bereaved. Say that to yourself. 2015 will not be a year of tragedy for me. I will be exempted from evil! In 2015, I will not be made lower. I will not retrogress. The phase of life and the level of blessing I have now will be the lowest I have ever been in Yahushua name! The Lord is my shepherd! You need to get the revelation behind that statement. See how the Message translation puts this: God, my shepherd, I don’t need a thing! You see; the shepherd understands you. He understands your emotional needs. He understands your physical needs. He understands your spiritual needs. And all He wants from you is to be able to open your mouth, out of the abundance of what is rested in your heart, that in 2015 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Yes, I am not married yet, and time seems to be going, but the Lord is my shepherd! One of the strong points of a shepherd is that He will never allow the sheep to waste or wander! I will not waste away martially. I align myself with the will of God for my life in 2015. The Lord is my shepherd. There is a personal experience. There is a personal touch to that. He is not OUR shepherd. He is MY shepherd. He is not a general shepherd and He does not bless generally, He is a specific shepherd, ministering to my want in the peculiarity that it demands! My shepherd. I don’t want a general husband or wife; I want MY husband or wife! So make HIM YOUR shepherd and He will minister to your individuality! That is why I must know Him for myself. What the Pastor teaches me is not enough! What I read on FOC is not enough; I must take it a step higher because the Lord is my shepherd. He is my companion. He is my friend. I choose to follow Him. I choose to honour Him. I choose to serve Him. I choose to obey Him I choose to listen to Him He is my shepherd. So my mind is at rest. I will no longer entertain fear of not getting married to a good spouse. I will not longer entertain fear about not being able to conceive. I will no longer entertain fear about having a troubled marriage. My dad is not my shepherd. My mum tried, but she is not my shepherd. My pastor preaches well, but He is not my shepherd, may be just an under-shepherd. The government of our day is not my shepherd, so I stop complaining about them The LORD is my shepherd! There are good days ahead, because the LORD is my shepherd. Let all the earth know, let the hordes of hell know, let the world beneath the sea hearken, let the heavens reverberate with it, that THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT!
