The attached article represents a refreshingly candid examination and evaluation of the last four years of municipal mismanagement with respect to public safety for the citizens of New Orleans. Though not comprehensive, it is acuurate for as far as it goes. Public safety has been and remains seriously compromised. Hopefully the public and those entrusted with making the legal and financial decisions to protect them will read and comprehend Mayor Landrieus failed strategies, and become less trusting of his new ones. They might do well to listen to those who warned of and predicted this outcome. MG
