The average annual number of outbreaks due to drinking raw (unpasteurized) milk more than quadrupled from 1993–2006 to 2007–2012, according to a new study. Raw milk-associated outbreaks continue to increase as more states allow the sale of raw milk. CDC recommends against consuming raw milk and products made with raw milk as they can pose severe health risks, especially in children, senior citizens, and people with weakened immune systems. go.usa.gov/FBrC
