The ball descending in New York City at Times Square has always signified the beginning of a New Year. However the ball descending has much more esoteric symbology than just the beginning of a New Year. One of the symbols of the ball descending is one descending into the pit of ones personal Hell only to rise anew. Hell in this particular instance means ones Shadow Self. The Bible speaks of Jesus descending into Hell before ascending to Heaven. When You descend into your personal Hell You are opening up to Your Shadow Self to learn the lessons that it wishes to teach so you can rise and begin anew and be much more Powerful, much like the Phoenix rising from the ashes only to soar Higher than before. When You hit rock bottom and have lost all that you had previously that is when You are most open to Reflection and Self Exploration. When You descend into the depths of Your Shadow Self You rise more Wiser and Unchained by previous Limiting Beliefs. The ball descending is also symbolic of a seed being planted in the soil. Giant trees have come from tiny seeds. When You go within the Darkness of Your Internal World you plant seeds, the seeds that are planted in the Darkness are Unseen, only to Rise as a mighty structure in the World of the Seen. The deeper that You go into Your personal Hell, the higher you will rise to Your personal Heaven(Illumination). When You do not allow your ball to descend You rob Your Self of having a New Year. When you allow Your ball to descend You are shifting Your focus from Your head(Above) to the spot slightly below Your navel(Below) and concentrating on Your breathing. This of course is Meditation, when You get away from everyday worldly thoughts and focus on Your breathing a state of relaxation is created from which you can rise fully regenerated. That is why the word Resolution has become a large part of the New Year philosophy. To make a Resolution means to make a committment to Resolve whatever limiting issues that prevent You from Evolving. Descending into the depths of Your Shadow Self is the Ultimate New Years Resolution. You are planting seeds in Your Soil(Soul), many people unfortunately make resolutions without first descending. Which is why they carry old unresolved Shadow issues into a New Year and sabotage their own Evolution. Allow Your ball to descend, so that You can experience a Resolution, which will enable You to not only have a Happy New Year but more importantly a Happy New Life.
