A doutrina da trindade, conforme hoje é aceita pela maioria dos cristãos, somente foi estabelecida em 382 d.C., no concílio de Constantinopla, com a inclusão do Espírito Santo na trindade, cerca de 350 anos depois da ascensão de Jesus. Muitos acham que ela foi formulada no Concílio de Nicéia, em 325 d.C. Mas, isso não é totalmente correto. Tornaram-se tão poderosos que Constantino os reabilitou e denunciou o grupo de Atanásio. Ário e os bispos que o apoiavam voltaram do exílio. Agora, Atanásio é que foi banido. Quando Constantino morreu (depois de ser batizado por um bispo arianista), seu filho restaurou a filosofia arianista e seus bispos e condenou o grupo de Atanásio. «Então ele (Ário) compôs um credo rival ao niceno. O conceito trinitário, na melhor das hipóteses não passa de «triteísta», uma forma da doutrina «politeísta», uma crença em vários deuses.De Gênesis a Apocalipse, dos judeus aos cristãos, a crença é «Monoteísta», isto é, a crença em um só Deus, um Deus Uno (Dt 6.4; João 17.3; etc.).A Enciclopédia Americana comenta: «O trinitarismo do quarto século de forma alguma refletiu com exatidão o primitivo ensino cristão sobre a natureza de Deus;foi, ao contrário, um desvio deste ensinamento».--- A obra A Igreja dos Primeiros Três Séculos diz: «A doutrina da Trindade foi formada de maneira gradual e comparativamente tardia; . ..teve a sua origem numa fonte inteiramente estranha à das Escrituras Judaicas e Cristãs; . ..cresceu, e foi enxertada no cristianismo, pelas mãos de Pais platônicos».--- No livro Declaração de Razões, Andrews Norton diz sobre a Trindade: «Podemos traçar a história dessa doutrina e descobrir a sua origem, não na revelação cristã, mas sim na filosofia platônica. ..A Trindade não é uma doutrina de Cristo e de seus Apóstolos, mas sim uma ficção da escola de posteriores platonistas».--- E L. L. Paine, professor de história eclesiástica, indica que o monoteísmo em sua mais pura forma não permite uma Trindade: «O Antigo Testamento é estritamente monoteísta.Deus é um ser pessoal, único.A idéia de que ali se encontra uma trindade . ..é totalmente infundada.Houve algum desvio do monoteísmo depois que Jesus veio à terra?Paine responde: «Neste ponto não existe descontinuidade entre o Antigo Testamento e o Novo.A tradição monoteísta continua.Jesus era judeu, educado por pais judeus nas escrituras do Antigo Testamento.O ensino dele era judaico até o âmago;um novo evangelho, sim, mas não uma nova teologia. ..E ele aceitou como crença sua o grande texto do monoteísmo judaico: Ouve, Ó Israel, o Senhor, nosso Deus é um só Deus».Estas palavras se acham em Deuteronômio 6.4. Temos tanto a confirmação bíblica como a da história eclesiástica (até o final do 4º século) de que a Igreja do primeiro século não servia a um Deus trino, faremos nós ao contrário??? Quem inventou a doutrina trinitariana? Porventura, não foi o paganismo, como acabamos de ver? Pois, não foram Jesus e os seus apóstolos! Por esta causa, é que nenhum cristão primitivo foi batizado em nome do Pai, e do Filho e do Espírito Santo! Isso também é confirmado pelos estudiosos de que, o batismo primitivo, não era trinitário. A santa trindade, como acabamos de ver, é um legado de Constantino. Para ser cristão, o batismo tem que ser realizado em «Nome de Jesus Cristo» Como que o batismo realizado em nome do Pai e do Filho e do Espírito Santo, pode ser chamado de cristão? Não há como considerar e nem é um batismo cristão. De acordo com o que já temos ensinado, o batismo em nome de Jesus Cristo, não é de maneira alguma uma inovaçãoou uma nova doutrina, porém, trata-se do batismo proclamado e ordenado pelos apóstolos, aceito e praticado pela Igreja de Jesus Cristo, no primeiro século. Como vemos na Bíblia, não há sequer uma alusão de que alguém tenha sido batizado na fórmula trinitária. Evidentemente nem todos aceitariam de que o batismo em nome do Pai e do Filho e do Espírito Santo está totalmente “incorreto”, isto é porque o batismo em ‘nome da falsa Trindade’, há muito tempo vem sendo praticado, por causa disso para a grande maioria (ou praticamente para todos), esta tem sido a fórmula verdadeira para o batismo. Este tipo de batismo é na verdade um «batismo tradicional», «não bíblico», por isso também «nem cristão». Não somos contra a verdadeira tradição, mas, desde que uma determinada tradição não esteja contrariando os princípios bíblicos, se é contrária, então temos que rejeitá-la, por ser anticristã, mesmo que ela seja antiguíssima. O batismo em água é uma ordenança de Igreja de Cristo e, não apenas um rótulo da Igreja. Por isso, somente terá validade quando realizado com fé, e que seja fundamentado no ensino apostólico. O batismo trinitariano não é de modo algum o batismo praticado pela Igreja de Cristo, no N.T. (At 2.38; 8.16; 10.48 etc.). Reiteramos, o batismo realizado em nome da falsa Trindadenão é o batismo cristão. Ensinamos e falamos tudo isso, com a absoluta certeza, sem medo de errar, não segundo o nosso ponto de vista ou idéia, mas de acordo com prática Neotestamentária, que evidentemente é bem clara, e com a inspiração do Espírito de Jesus Cristo. Biblicamente falando, todos aqueles que foram batizados em «nome do Pai e do Filho e do Espírito Santo», precisam e devem ser batizados novamente, isto é, «em nome de Jesus Cristo» (Atos 2.38 etc.). Porém, se alguém que já é batizado em nome do Pai e do Filho e do Espírito Santo, mas passa agora a crer no batismo bíblico (isto é, em nome Jesus Cristo), e a sua fé é suficiente para anular a falsa trindade imposta sobre si, e de aceitar agora como substituição onome de Jesus Cristo, como a verdadeira fórmula batismal, então não é necessário batizar se de novo. Portanto, tudo isso vai depender da fé de cada um (Efésios 14.23; Hb 11.3). O batismo realizado em nome de Jesus Cristo é o fator máximo desta Doutrina e, por este motivo, desde os seus primeiros dias, a Igreja de Cristo tem incluído-o como parte inseparável na proclamação do Evangelho. O batismo realizado em nome de Jesus Cristo era tão importante e significante para os cristãos primitivos, que tão logo que se convertiam, também desciam às águas batismais (At 2.38). Não podemos viver nos iludindo com um Cristianismo que existe somente no nome, mas quanto à prática bíblica, é antagônico e falso. É verdade que muitos “pastores” (líderes) tentarão te desviar desta verdade, anunciando que o batismo em nome de Jesus Cristo é herético e antibíblico, defendendo o batismo trinitariano. Irmão, não aceite de qualquer maneira as suas palavras, antes, exija deles, sólidos fundamentos bíblicos e que também apresentem argumentos concretos, contra tudo o que temos ensinado até agora, que é um ensino verdadeiramente bíblico (At 17.11; Gál 2.6). Não seja enganado!!! Portanto, o verdadeiro cristão, a Igreja de Jesus Cristo, «crê», «aceita» e é batizado no batismo Neotestamentário, ensinado pelos apóstolos de Jesus, e praticado pela Sua Igreja, isto é, «em nome de Jesus Cristo» (At 10.48). Frisamos, o batismo em «nome do Pai e do Filho e do Espírito Santo» não é bíblico.
