The bay will NEVER see a penny (actually, a nickel now that we round up) from me again! I ordered an espresso maker from their website for a Christmas present. It was $699.99 and when I checked my order status last night it had shipped. I checked today to find out that the price had been reduced to $549.99 and when I called in the rep said unfortunately they cant reduce the price as their policy only gives 7 days and today is day 8. WHAT A LOAD OF BS!! I got transferred to a Supervisor that was void of all common sense. I told him I could oder a second one tonight at the new price and return the first one. This would cost them free shipping on both orders plus the return shipping. He said I was right but their policy is firm. I told him not only was it going to cost them additional shipping fees, itd also cost them a customer that is very frustrated with their rigid policies that lack common sense! He went onto state that hed refer me to the sites FAQs, which I told him are ridiculous when their policy lacks all logic. I had to call a local Hudsons Bay store General Manager to get them to adjust the price. I now have to take the item into their store to get a price adjustment. Nice that he will do that but so unnecessary when they can see the transaction online! BEWARE - He told me that the retail stores and the online store operate entirely separate and promotions dont match up. Ill never buy from the online store again when they change pricing and wont credit the customer without a huge ordeal.
