The bear stands upon her hind legs Looking out over the land - TopicsExpress

The bear stands upon her hind legs Looking out over the land beyond She smells the air Smelling for a prey Her eyes scan the horizon Looking and searching She casts her eye on one That is enjoying her young ones Frolicking and playing in the sunshine One who feels safe And secure For no enemy has been seen About her For she has cleared the land about her And she has others Who are in the skies And in the distant places That will cry out Sending forth warnings To quickly run and hide For the enemy is on its way But in the far distance The bear has spotted her Who is basking in the sun Slowly she makes her way Toward that most secure And protected one Quietly, one step at a time Careful not to make a noise Slowly sneak up Stand upon your hind legs You great one See if you are getting close And that she is still unaware Of your presence Move slowly And quietly Once you have her in your grasp You will toss her about Grabbing her by the neck And shaking her You will roll her over Taking nibbles Enjoying the sight Of that which You will devour When it becomes ripe And ready for eating.
