The belief lightning never strikes the same place twice has long since been disproven, but this accident, stroke of luck capture used that outdated thinking to success. As a strong thunderstorm rolled in, I noticed one general area of the sky where three or four strikes occurred within a fifteen minute period. Utilizing the scientifically sound What the hell methodology, I faced that area, camera at the ready and awaited to be disappointed. Well, another strike and of course my sloth like reflexes responded at a leisurely pace and I was sure I missed it.
