The below article is a topic that wont soon disappear. It is imperative that you way in with meaningful and respectful comments relating to this upcoming/ensuing vote within Town Council. Plannings decisions to reduce heights were based on an amount of floors included. The CRAB, like many other guidance documents are living, breathing documents which the Town can improve upon. Once the last vote is cast on August 12, 2014 the discussion is pretty much over. I would encourage my friends on Council to seek out other coastal eclectic communities who have chosen this path, if there are any, to get a better perspective. Mount Pleasant is a unique community leading to beaches on its outskirts and it is believed that we should recognize the stewardship of being good neighbors as well. We need to question how the decisions we make today will effect not only us, but our neighbors as well tomorrow? We already have 3 story buildings facing Coleman (Mason Law & Heritage Trust), we know what a 4 story building will look like (proposal of PG/OB on Shem Creek). What height allowances do you envision and why?
