The below query by Friends of the African Union (FAU), a recently conceived organization by David Horne should be a concern at minimum and on the other just be informed, especially by serious Africans and Pan Africanists who may be deceived by their agenda. When this FAU was initiated recently, they inquired about WADU been involved and I personally declined because I know that was nothing but a new organizational mutation by David Horne. My rejection was due specifically by Elombe Brath and others who gave specific instructions before and in WADU to stay away from him, his overtures and his company. I and others have maintained our discipline since. I have been steadfast, even to the ire of some key leaders who did not trust him, but were impressed by his big but questionable funding to travel and spend money on and to all major Pan Africa and AU related meetings, programs and events, globally. Very importantly, we received additional confirmation from leaders in the Reparations Movement (NCOBRA) (Mama Njeri), the GAC (Mama Dorothy Lewis), ASCAC (Dr. Clarke thru Mama Swanston, Secretary for late J.H. Clarke), several key WDC advocacy organizations, key leaders of UNIA, the Rasta Movement (Farika, DC), and AAPRP (Brown, DC). All and others gave WADU early warnings when they realized those like Nathanial and then Horne were trying to woo Pan Africanists and then WADU to legitimize their agenda over the African Diaspora, as authorities of the African Union. To suggest that they have usurped the authority over the African Diaspora as the AU 6th region leaders as they have attempted first under the Foundation for Democracy in Africa (FDA) in 2003; 2. To question the work and any authority of WADU as an authentic Pan African organization who have not submitted, but has rejected collaborating with them on their plans to control the AU Diaspora agenda, mainly due to the fact that they have had a suspicious background in the Pan African Movement; and 3. To attempt to neutralize WADU as one of the foremost established organization to promote themselves as a viable organization, as the AU leaders visit Washington, D.C. this August. It is important to note that this is almost a direct rebuttal to Baba Elombe Brath’s (press release) work upon his physical death. Their activities below are exactly why Baba Elombe Brath had warned about beginning with those like Fred Oladeinde (Nigeria), Ras Nathaniel (Illinois), David Horne (California)... Indeed, as early as 2003, Brath (with Viola Plummer) became very concerned about the new AU initiative in the Diaspora after attending a secret AU Diaspora related meeting at the Schomburg Center in Harlem. Brath was not invited but would not allow a secret meeting on Africa in Harlem. Brath summed up the meeting after as consisting of depraved Black (“uncle toms”) leaders with little or no knowledge or real concern about Africa, except how to best exploit Africa using the African Diaspora as an agenda to promote white supremacy interests over Africa. Initially dismissing these as useless opportunists in 2003, by 2005, we would soon realize that these forces were linked to the powerful Heritage Foundation (white supremacist organization). By 2005, Brath became very disturbed and in a number of conversations with me, he made it clear that the Pan African movement was under siege. Starting 2004, the above forces under Fred, Nathaniel and Horne had become very active in WDC and later in Harlem and other parts of the Diaspora branding themselves as official AU Diaspora 6th region representatives organizing elections to the AU/ECOSOCC. Be advised the AU reps later apologized and declared these activities after the alarms by Fred and Ras Nat null and void. Their 2003 (AU) Diaspora initiative, first pushed with the AU under President Obasanjo and the Foundation for Democracy in Africa (FDA) in the Diaspora led by Fred was able to make an agreement with one of the now (splintered) UNIA in WDC (2004) and had proceeded to conscript some other gullible leaders in their efforts, including targeting AAPRP (also now more splintered). Obviously, these splintered groups are dangerous and we are deficient in leadership. The alarm signaling their disruptive activities in the global Africa community did not start with “Black nationalists” in WDC but with few of progressive (DC) Africa advocacy organizations who knew Fred’s work with the Right Wing business leaders. Nonetheless, some in UNIA and AAPRP became involved with this Heritage Foundation linked effort and so quickly suppressed any serious resistance to these compromising activities as these two major Pan African organizations were targeted as WADU would become much later. Those you cannot bribe, you destroy and so by 2009 (Summit), they had even attempted but failed to destroy WADU.
