The benefits of forgiveness: MATTHEW 6:14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Two things appears 1) Forgiving others 2) Their trespasses Meaning forgiving everybody be it your child, mother, father, spouse etc And all types of trespasses . You dont have to be choosy. Why? Because the Lord has said it and has given you instructions as your master and you are his follower. Dont adhere to other peoples ideas or your mind, dont lean on your own understanding or anybody. Because of your Father who is in heaven and that by failing to obey, you too wont be forgiven. You will be treated like a sinner qualifying to go to hell. And your prayers will be hindered. Let go and set yourself free and others through forgiveness as youve been forgiven. Be like your Father who is always prepared to forgive anyone who confesses his/ her sins and offers eternal life. Be imitators of God. This means that you are out of the law altogether as a daughter and son of God through Christ.
