The best doctor is Dr. God. He’s everything — teacher, counselor, psychiatrist, great physician and so much more. You never have to be distraught about office hours. He’s always on call! You never have to be concerned about paying the bill, because the debt was paid a long time ago. All we have to do is accept all that was accomplished on the cross. God has also given us human doctors to make us well. When we go to a human doctor, we should pray in faith, and believe that God will work through those doctors by giving them the wisdom and knowledge to treat us. Have you ever prayed for someone to get well and they died? I have. It made me feel as if my prayers were worthless. We should just try to rest in the fact that God sees the whole complete picture. That person’s best possible healing was for them to be blessed by the ultimate healing of going home to be with the Lord — where there is no more pain, no more sickness, no more anxiety, and no more sadness. Remember, God loves you very much and will never hurt us.
