The best full out yelling fight about privilege & guilt. Jon Stewart I love you. Go ahead, why not hate watching Its 13 minutes. And I couldnt stop watching, because I was in shock that OReilly is for real and not just joking. Louis C.K. does one of the funniest rants on this, but its rare to see two opposing sides try to talk about it on television. In light of the power & privilege discussions that come up on The Daily Show - I think they would benefit from finding some well versed academics that can hash out the main types of privilege that seem to come up - Because privilege seems to get swept up into one concept and opponents seem to pin the existence of one type as a way to defend that the other doesnt exist. 1. Colour & Ability to pass for the powerful colour 2. Gender 3. Class (Economic & Social) 4. Education 5. Ability/Mobility They all exist. And they are *I think* in a hierarchical order. But I dont study this, so maybe someone can correct me. There are more, but these are the major players in the game of power. What we value becomes powerful.
