The best thing about Mondays is BENCH PRESS!! ;) Here are some tips we guarantee will help you feel more stable and strong on the bench: - treat it as a whole body exercise: plant your feet firmly on the ground and squeeze your glutes - keep your chest up and your shoulder blades squeezed together the whole time - as you bring the bar down imagine lifting your chest up to meet it - ensure the bar path is always the same, coming from directly above your shoulders down to mid-chest And most importantly: if you are experiencing shoulder pain or tightness during or after you bench press, speak to one of our trainers about what you can do to avoid it becoming a serious issue.
