The best way to learn is by doing. For years, I studied entrepreneurs. My best lessons and greatest growth came not from studying, however, but by doing the work as I planned to start a new business. My business involves wind energy. Five years ago, I dreamed of being one of the first companies in America to develop and manufacture offshore wind turbine blades. I have followed the same steps outlined in the Thomas Edison case study, and I am now at the funding stage. To reach this stage, I had to build a business model; perform market research and make some assumptions concerning the future of the wind energy market.
