The bible and the bible alone is able to give perfect definition and description of what love: Definition God is love Description: Because God is love no ungodly person is able to give love (1 John 4:8)...How can you give what you do not have? *Because God Sacrificed Himself (Christ) to show His love for us (John 3:16), Love sacrifices all selfishness for those we love (John 15:13). *Because God does not change (Malachi 3:6), so Love Does not change *Love obeys (john 14:15) and obedience is the token of our love and truthfulness (1 John 2:3). *Love does not hate nor does it get easily angered, neither does it keep records of wrongs, it never finds pleasure in other peoples mistakes or wrong doings. But rather it always hopes, trusts protects and never gives up nor fail (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) *Love is not substituted by the material positions we give or receive (1 Corinthians 13:3) *Love forgives others and forgiveness is directly proportional to the love you have (Luke 7:47) *Love waits patiently for whom we love and is not altered by time nor circumstances (Genesis 29:20) *Love is not evidenced by a bunch of letters or eloquence of words but by your actions (1 John 3: 18) *Love does not expose the sins of others but it covers them (Proverbs 10:12) * Has no fears 1 John 4:18 *Love is everlasting and its kindness never fails (Jeremiah 31:3) *Genuin love comes from a pure heart, pure concience (or mind) and sincere faith (1 Timothy 1:5) May we all pray that God may give us this love because love is a gift from God!!!
