The bible is for religious folk... Im not religious.. @There is no precise equivalent of religion in Hebrew, and Judaism does not distinguish clearly between religious, national, racial, or ethnic identities. Before the word religion came into common usage, Christianity was a disciplina, a rule just like that of the Roman Empire. This idea can be found in the writings of Augustine (354–430). Meaning that word religion also came from a pagan source... The bible is for Christians... Im not a Christians. Im a follower of Jesus. @Christ never called himself a Christian, Christ never called his followers Christians. The apostles never called each other Christians. Christ never used an adjective to describe himself. It was the pagans at Antioch called the apostles Christians first (Acts 11:26; 26:28) and used it derogatorily because the apostles didn’t follow the commercial world of the pagans. Tittle wearers teach from the bible; those bishops, prophets, apostles, pimps...etc. goo goo ga ga..... (often repeated, childish) Imitation of the sound of a baby who hasnt yet learned to speak or eat food yet... How strange? I teach from the scriptures... @And that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. Zephaniah 3:2 She obeys no one, she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the LORD, she does not draw near to her God. Romans 4:23 The words it was credited to him were written not for him alone, Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. 2 Peter 1:20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophets own interpretation of things. 2 Peter 1:21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. I dont go to church... I am the church. @The OT Temple was replaced, not by the church building, but by the indwelling Holy Spirit in the Temple of the believers body (1 Cor. 3:16-17; 6:19-20). The English word “church” was invented in Catholic times, in the Middle Ages, and that the customs and practices around that word and concept, are of Catholic origin. The saints of God had no churches (sanctuaries, temples), or altars. All the sacrificing and mediating had already been performed by Jesus. The English word “church” was invented in Catholic times, in the Middle Ages, and that the customs and practices around that word and concept, are of Catholic origin. Test all things. We ought to consistently test all doctrines and religious ideas against Scripture. Even today, the spirit of antichrist is at work promoting heretical doctrine (1 John 4:1-3; 2 John 1:7). Scripture often warns against being deceived by false doctrine (Matthew 7:15-16; Matthew 24:4-11; Acts 20:28-30; 2 Corinthians 11:2-3; 2 Timothy 4:3-4). We protect ourselves by testing all teachings against Scripture (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). These false leaders that tell you to come to them, and their buildings cant teach you scripture... They teach you bible... Scripture convicts the sinner the bible teaches showmanship.... Scripture says.. 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, … Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs … Proverbs 15:10,31 Correction is grievous to him that forsakes the way: and he that … John 3:20 For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the … Ephesians 5:11-13 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but … Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Teaching, of which Scripture is the only infallible source. In the Greek it can mean proof, specially for the purpose of refutation of a false statement or argument. Here in the same sense for the conviction or refutation of false teachers, but probably including errors in living so that there be no place left among you, either for error in religion or for viciousness in life. Correction in the New Testament, but only occasionally in the LXX., and for those who read and study in classical Greek, as Aristotle, Plato, etc., in the sense of correction, i.e. setting a person or thing straight, revisal, improvement, amendment, or the like. It may be applied equally to opinions and to morals, or way of life. Instruction which is in righteousness. There is no advantage in this awkward phraseology. Instruction in righteousness exactly expresses the meaning. By the use of Scripture the Christian or as I teach the follower of Jesus is being continually more perfectly instructed in holy living. Scripture teaches you a more holy way of living... Even while in sin... There is hope for you to get better everyday... As for you bible readers you are at the same church building, doing the same old sins; going home, and watching the same old programs, and have not helped a stranger or passed out a gift card in years.. Grow up and eat some scripture...
