The bible says in 1st John 4:1 Beloved , believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:........ The bible did not say tempt the spirits! In other word, the word try means test which is to examine while the word tempt is to provoke to do wrong. It is to allure to sin. Mind you, the bible recognizes the devil as the tempter - Matthew 4:³ NIV. so, anybody that tempts is in the nature of the devil. But it is quite lugubrious that many nowadays tempts spirits but hide under the tent of trying. Hmmmmnnnnnn!
