The big bad wolf aka the storm with winds that hit Thursday night blew down the 3 little piggies house. We knew it was coming and I thought I was prepared and all pigs were safe and secure with piles of hay. As I hunkered down I could hear things crashing outside not having a clue it was a 16x24 pig shelter that houses my 2 blind pigs and their buddy who guides them. My neighbor called me day break to let me know it was pretty bad. The roof had blown over the road and as you can see everything else was destroyed. The two blind pigs were under a piece of plywood that was left leaning and Patrick was just standing wet and lost. The good thing, they were okay. All other structures were fine. My friend came and we sectioned off part of another shelter that gives them access to a side yard with a big oak tree as well. We got them all moved and settled in and they are doing great. We will rebuild in spring but I think I see the brick house in the future as thus is the area we call the hilltop and that wind sure found it. So..... Tis that season to make sure all the animals will be safe and jolly as California gets the much needed rain. We hope you are all enjoying the season and are all safe.
