The biggest mistake I made in my life which most other people I grew up with also made was moving out of Brooklyn!!! The neighborhood I lived in had everything one would be desirous of, a semi-suburban atmosphere, great schools, great restaurants (reasonably priced), proximity to the Big Apple, and best of all the people. I never met a better mix of people than I was surrounded by when I lived in Brooklyn. What a pleasure it would be today if all the people I grew up with stayed in the neighborhood, the relationships would be multi-generational, starting with friends and neighbors of mine who knew one anothers grandparents, parents. their friends, then their wives of one another and one another children and at this age their grandchildren as with some their great grand children. The exodus was an IDIOT ACT, I have lived in a number of places since living Brooklyn and I can say now at 70 years of age, what a mistake I made ever leaving and I suspect many others feel the same. You take Long Island, Manhattan, Connecticut and most other places and you can keep them!!! I WANNA GO HOME, BACK TO BROOKLYN.
