The biggest mistake anyone can make is to *believe* in something, rather than to try to understand it. This is true whether that something is religion, physics, psychology or the local newspaper. It is true whether the belief is true or not, since the latter cannot be determined while it is still a belief. If you understand something belief is unnecessary. That understanding will either show it to be false, or it will have become knowledge. If you dont understand something belief is dangerous, in many cases deadly.
