The biggest question entering WWE Night of Champions is whether Brock Lesnar will beat John Cena and retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which could make the title picture interesting for the next several months. Here are the results for WWE Night of Champions: WWE NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS RESULTS WWE Tag Team Championship match: The Usos (champions) vs. Goldust and Stardust What happened: This was a solid match. The Usos had the advantage early, with Goldust and Stardust gaining momentum as the match went on. At one point, Jimmy Usos hand was bleeding. He had a cut on his finger and the ref put on latex gloves. It looked like a nasty gash on his hand. Near the end of the match, Jey Uso started running the ropes. As he was doing that, Goldust hit Jimmy Uso with a somersault senton off the ring apron. Jey Uso leaped over the top rope and took out Stardust. The match ends when Jey Uso, who gained the upper hand, goes for a frog splash. As hes about to land it, Stardust lifts his knees. Stardust grabs Jey Uso and rolls him up for the win. WINNERS and NEW WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Goldust and Stardust — United States Championship match: Sheamus (champion) vs. Cesaro What happened: This match started off slow, but finished with a brawl. Near the tail end of the match, Sheamus lines up Cesaro for the Brogue Kick. He charges at Cesaro, but Cesaro ducks and rolls up Sheamus. Sheamus kicks out. The action continues and they are exchanging moves, with Cesaro connecting two devastating maneuvers and getting near-falls. Sheamus answers back with some offense of his own. The match ends when Cesaro hits a big boot to Sheamus in the corner. He lands several punches, but the referee pulls him away. After the referee pulled him off, Sheamus hits a Brogue kick out of nowhere. Sheamus gets the pin and the win. WINNER and STILL UNITED STATES CHAMPION: Sheamus — Intercontinental Championship match: Dolph Ziggler (champion) vs. The Miz What happened: This match featured a cameo by country music stars Florida Georgia Line. They sat at the announce table during the match and even got involved when Damien Mizdow got in their faces. They both attacked Mizdow, which led to R-Ziggler coming in to assist them. R-Ziggler chased Mizdow to the back. As the match continues, Ziggler and The Miz are going back and forth. Ziggler hits a superkick and goes for the pin, but Miz kicks out at two. Miz then gains the advantage and applies the Figure 4. After a minute or so, Ziggler is able to get to the ropes. Ziggler regains control moments later, but Mizdow returns. Mizdow climbs the apron and Ziggler hits him with a superkick. But Miz sneaks up from behind and rolls him up for the pin and the win. WINNER and NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION: The Miz — Singles match: Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns What happened: With Reigns out of action due to surgery, Rollins came out to celebrate his victory. He had the ref count out Reigns, making the win official. But Rollins wasnt done. He issued an open challenge to anyone in the WWE locker room. As Rollins is cutting his promo, a taxi pulls up backstage. Its Dean Ambrose! Ambrose storms to the ring and starts brawling with Rollins. They take their fight to the crowd and Triple H and Stephanie, along with WWE security, come out to the stage to break up the fight. But Ambrose slips away and gets his hands on Rollins again. The fight through the crowd again and return to the ring. Once they get back in the ring, WWE security finally grab Ambrose, restrain him and escort him out of the ring. — Singles match: Mark Henry vs. Rusev What happened: Mark Henry dominated early, but Rusev gained the momentum. With both superstars on the outside, Rusev drove Henry into the ring steps. That wasnt pretty. As the match continues, Henry hits the Worlds Strongest Slam out of nowhere. Rusev is down, but Henry cant get to him. Rusev rolled to the ring apron, then slips out of the ring. Henry crawls to the ropes and Rusev nails him with a superkick. The match ends when Rusev applies the Accolade and Henry taps out. Rusev and Lana celebrate in the ring. WINNER: Rusev — Singles match: Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton What happened: There were some boring matches at Night of Champions. But this wasnt one of them. Jericho and Orton started off slow, but business started to pick up when Orton sent Jericho flying over the top ropes and onto the floor outside. Jericho nearly smacked his face against the Spanish announce table. For good measure, Orton backdrops Jericho on the announce table. Later in the match, Orton sizes up Jericho for an RKO. Jericho counters by slamming Orton and hitting a Lionsault. He covers, but Orton kicks out at two. Orton regains control and is looking for the Hangman DDT. But again, Jericho counters. He attempts to apply the Walls of Jericho. Orton breaks out of the submission hold. Jericho charges at Orton and Orton sends him flying into the ring post. With Jericho down, Orton goes for the punt. Jericho avoids the kick at the last second. Jericho rolls him up and Orton kicks out at two. Jericho wasnt done. He applies the Walls of Jericho. Orton is trying to fight it off. He crawls to the ropes. When he gets a fingernail away, Jericho moves back into the middle of the ring. Orton refuses to tap and wiggles his way out. He then kicks Jericho out of the ring. As Jericho tries to reenter, Orton is there to greet him. He hits him with a Hangman DDT. Orton sizes up Jericho for an RKO. Jericho is slowly rising to his feet. Hes finally to his feet and out of nowhere, he nails Orton with a Codebreaker! Jericho covers, but Orton kicks out at two. Jericho looks to finish off Orton. He climbs to the top rope. He leaps, but Orton hits the RKO in midair! Orton pins Jericho and gets the victory. — Divas Championship match: Paige (champion) vs. AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella What happened: This was a solid match. They gave the Divas match about 10 minutes, which was worth it. Nikki Bella was a good contributor. But the real action was saved for AJ and Paige. One of the highlights: A tower of doom spot where Paige had AJ sized up for a superplex, but Nikki Bella entered and hit a powerbomb. The match ends when AJ charges at Paige and applies the Black Widow. Paige tries to break out of it at first, but then AJ tightens her grip. Paige quickly taps and AJ wins back the Divas title. WINNER and NEW DIVAS CHAMPION: AJ Lee — WWE World Heavyweight Championship match: Brock Lesnar (champion) vs. John Cena What happened: Lesnar and Cena start out brawling. Lesnar gets a few blows in before Cena, out of nowhere, grabs him and hits an AA! Cena covers, but Lesnar kicks out quickly. Lesnar fires back by locking in the kimura. Cena doesnt tap. It was the first of many submission moves used Sunday night. As the match continues, Cena hits another AA. At this point, he has a nasty bruise on his back. Lesnar is bleeding from his nose and has removed his gloves. Cena applies the STF, but Lesnar counters into a kimura. Cena doesnt tap. Cena regains control and hits another AA. And once again, he applies the STF. Lesnar is trying to slip away, but Cena wont let him. Cena hits another AA. Out of nowhere, Seth Rollins enters the ring with his Money in the Bank briefcase. He clobbers Cena with the case and the ref calls for the bell. The match is over, but Rollins has his sights on Lesnar. Rollins hits the Curb Stomp! He grabs his briefcase and runs to the timekeepers area. He wants to cash it in! As Rollins tries to reenter the ring, Cena grabs him and attacks. Rollins slips away through the ring. Cena, who is back in the ring at this point, turns around and Lesnar hits an F5. Rollins escapes and Justin Roberts announces that Cena won the match by disqualification, but Lesnar keeps the belt. WINNER: John Cena (by disqualification); Brock Lesnar retains WWE World Heavyweight Championship
