The blockade on Cuba that has been imposed for more than fifty years will hopefully end. If we were to open free trade to Cuba and introduce them to the regulated free market that we have here in the U.S., I believe that the government of Cuba would be more inclined to shift to our economic model more so than the Chinese model. According to trading economics, Cuba s economy is at its all time low since the special period with an inflation rate of approximately 5.7%. With all of this said, lets focus on the economy for now to raise the standard of living and hopefully,this in turn with time will provide a pavement to democratic values.
