The body of King Abdullah has been buried in an unmarked grave in Riyadh less than 24 hours after his death plunged Saudi Arabia into mourning. The body of King Abdullah was wrapped in a simple cloth (main picture) as it was carried through crowds of mourners into a mosque in Riyadh this afternoon as his funeral began, less than 24 hours after Saudi Arabia was plunged into mourning by his death. Tens of thousands took to the streets of the capital and Mecca to pay their respects to King Abdullah (inset). The royal died last night aged 90 following a battle with pneumonia. Half-brother Salman, 79, a reputed moderate, has inherited the throne and led the prayers to Abdullah. Prince Charles will visit Saudi Arabia to pay his condolences to late King, as Buckingham Palace lowered its flag to half-mast as a mark of respect. Abdullahs death was confirmed on state television early on Friday morning.
