The bond between a mother and a baby is a truly beautiful thing to me. The mothers role in a babys life is something that I have come to deeply admire and appreciate over the past several years, specifically in regards to pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. I am generally very comfortable in my role as a father, but I have to admit that I sometimes feel a little jealous of Shayla. Watching her belly grow and her body change as our baby grew inside of her, watching her in labor and her birthing him into this world, watching her provide nourishment and comfort for him day and night.. Its one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced.
