The book of Revelation 13:18 says Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. This process is to be done through Gematria, which is the numeric value of a letter. Gematria generally refers to the Hebrew alphabet value system. The Greeks also copied their system, and called it Isopsephy. Eventually the English alphabet began to use a system also. The Bible says in Gen.9:27God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem;... The Jews came from Shem and the Greeks came from Japheth. During the writing of Revelation the greek alphabet had no letter for 6, 90, or 900, to equal the alphabet Gematria to the other alphabets. So after the writing of the book they took obsolete letters from previous alphabets (which at the beginning caused some confusion) and placed them in their alphabet. The greek letter digamma became obsolete in the classical period. Then it was taken by latin speaking people. They brought back Digamma for 6, Koppa for 90, and Sampi for 900. Jesus said ...I AM alpha and omega..., but scholars placed Sampi after Omega, making Jesus a liar. But the truth is the Greeks had no name for 6, 90, or 900, during the writing of Revelation (according to Milesian or koine greek). So the phrase 600, 60, and 6, is really in greek Chi a 22nd letter, Xi a 14th letter, and Stigma an obsolete letter, made from sigma and tau, as a cross of the greek alphabet. The creation of the word Stigma began in the medieval period long after the New Testament was completed. This word would be used to take the place of Digamma. But Stigma does not mean 6, it is a cross of two words; hence a cross of the greek alphabet. The greek name for swastika is Gammadion, and it sounds closely connected with Digamma. So it should read 600, 60 and cross or mark, or 660 and swastika (cross). This is the true number of the beast. Using the Gematria of A=6, and Z=156, names of important figures throughout history come into a greater light: Antiochus=660, Neros name Germanicus=660, man of sins=660, perdition=660, Adolf hitler=660, Osama Bin Laden=660, and Apollyon=660.
