The brain is the engine of the human body. It is the most complex organ of the human body. To those that understand computing, the brain is the more like a central processing unit. Facts: - The brain is made up of three parts – the cerebrum, the cerebellum, and the brain stem. - The brain stem connects to the all-important spinal cord - The brain is surrounded by a fluid called cerebrospinal fluid. - Memories are stored in the hippocampus. - The brain uses 25% of the oxygen we inhale. - The cerebrum is the largest part of the body. - The brain contains over a billion nerve cells. - For the brain the run effectively, one needs to eat foods that are rich in potassium, calcium, and fatty acids. - A human being is born with all the neurons s/he will ever need.
