The bundle didn’t break A man had got four sons. All of them used to quarrel with each other. On account of this, not only their physical and economical conditions were deteriorating but their mental and intellectual progress was also being hampered. Their father was much grieved at this. When the father was on the death bed, he called his sons, gave them a bundle of sticks and asked them to break the bundle. The sons tried their best but all in vain. At last the father said,” Now break the sticks one by one individually.” Now the sticks began to be broken easily. The father explained,” If you live united in this way, no one will be able to harm you and if you remain disunited, you will perish like these sticks, broken in no time.” That day onwards, his sons began to live united. When tendencies like co-operation, sacrifice and generosity begin to grow, great resources also get collected automatically. A component, though important, alone can’t create a little influence. Great works can only be accomplished through joint efforts.
