The business world needs more rebels The reason that this business world needs more rebels is because the world is changing so quickly. Anybody who gets too reliant on the way things were done two years ago may be out of business two years from now. So, it needs constant rethinking. What rebelliousness is about- is about in the business world- is a willingness to challenge conventional wisdom. And if the biggest companies, the Philips, or the Royal Dutch Shells, and people like that, are not willing to challenge conventional thinking, then they will no longer be the leaders of business. They are the leaders of business today because they, for many years, succeeded. But their success could go away very quickly if they dont continue to innovate. And thats really the language for the 21st century in business, is how you innovate. Innovation doesnt happen from people who are conservative and dont want to take risks. People who take risks and that are willing to try new things are the innovators, and theyre the rebels of the 21st century business world. - Conley
