The calendar has now turned to that dreaded day I dont look forward to, October 7th. The day the my father left us 17 years ago. All though Im saddened for selfish reasons. This year I will try to smile and remember the good times. Before he left us, Dad and I sat out back and had a long talk..... At the time the conversation angered me. I look back now and realize he knew what was coming and I thank God I am finally able to do what he asked of me that day. I just wish he could be here to keep my mom company (I dont know how shes done it), and could have met his beautiful grand daughter, and to see the woman my sister is becoming. One of the last good memories I have hanging out with my Dad we got in trouble because we had the record player turned up so loud it was shaking the house, so we both put on our headphones, layed back and played the air guitar to some Skynard Freebird. #17longyears #missthisman #theoriginalGP #hesbigglen #imlittleglen #freeasabird
